Walker County
Deck staining in Chickamauga, Georgia
A small town with farm country all around it. Decks here are often on older farmhouses or newer homes on a few acres.
Farmhouse porches and back decks
Wraparound porches, back decks that step down to a yard, and the odd carport or pole barn. We'll look at all of it and help you decide what's worth doing first.
Full sun, open fields
Out of the trees, a deck takes the full Georgia sun all afternoon. UV breaks down a finish faster than anything. A semi-transparent with good pigment holds up better than a clear, which can look great for a season and then quit.
Photo estimates save a trip
It's a drive for us, so photos help. Send a wide shot of the whole deck plus a few close-ups, and you'll usually get a range before we ever come out.

Local question
Asked in Chickamauga
Why not a clear sealer? I like the natural look.
Clear finishes have almost no pigment, and pigment is what blocks the sun. In full sun they wear off quickly. A light 'toner' or a semi-transparent keeps the natural look and lasts much longer.
